Miratlas’ inception came from years of experience in the telecom and photonics industry. Our knowledge benefits from decades of development of astronomical instrumentation.

In 2018, Miratlas was created by Jean-Edouard Communal, Frédéric Jabet and Karine Chevalier, to respond to the unsolved problem of atmospheric laser.
To this end, the small company rapidly developed through the sale of its Sky Monitor and its data from various locations around the world (Australia, Greece, Germany, Spain, etc.) to renowned organizations (ESA, NASA, DLR, ONERA, CNES), until it became a reference in atmospheric turbulence measurement.
In 2022, Miratlas has raised two million euros of investment in funding with Karista (Cosmicapital) and Région Sud Investissement and Expansion (Geodesic), to accelerate its development and position itself as the world leader in the collection, processing and forecasting of optical atmospheric data.
